Recently, Bro. Frederick Mueller made a presentation to members of IALU (International Association of Lasallian Universities), most of whom were presidents of Lasallian colleges or universities. Encuentro VIII, the triennial meeting of the group, was held in Porto Alegre, Brazil, in early January. About 55 persons were present at the meeting, including Bro. Alvaro, the Superior General, who also presented to the group. The theme of Bro. Frederick's presentation was the recent International Assembly held in Rome that has set directions for mission and association in the Lasallian world.
