On Saturday, February 10, Bro. Nicholas Picciano died at the Richmond Medical Center on Staten Island. He was 64. Born in Brooklyn, he attended St. Augustine's High School H.S., before entering the Novitiate in Narragansett RI. His years of ministry included St. Cecilia's NY Grammar School (1966-67); La Salle Academy, Providence (1967-79); La Salle, Oakdale (1981-2001); and St. Peter's Boys High School, Staten Island NY (2001-06). Nicholas is survived by his three sisters, Sister Rosalind, CSJ, Dorothy Bernice and Joan Picciano, as well as a brother-in-law and three nephews. The wake will take place at the Casey Funeral Home, located at 350 Slosson Avenue on Staten Island. The wake hours are Tuesday, February 13 between 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Peter's Church, located at 53 St. Mark's Place on Staten Island. The Mass will be at 7:30 pm on Wednesday evening, February 14.
