OCEAN TIDES SCHOOL GRADUATES EIGHTEEN

Ocean Tides School commencement exercises were held on Friday June 13, 2008 in Our Lady of the Star Chapel at De La Salle Christian Brothers Center, Narragansett, RI. Eighteen seniors graduated in a ceremony presided by Brother Brendan Gerrity, President and Ms Jane Genereux, Principal. After the invocation by Brother John Norton and the awarding of achievement certificates, Brother Edmond Precourt, Provincial, assisted Brother Brendan with the distribution of diplomas and scholarship awards. Joshua J Hicks garnered about $11,000 in scholarships and will begin his college education this fall. Timothy O'Reilly (in the second picture above) won two scholarships and plans to attend CCRI in the fall. Ten of the 12 graduates hope to go to college. The ceremony was concluded by Brother Edmond giving the benediction. A buffet luncheon was provided for all the graduates and their guests in the courtyard.
