Brother Edmond Precourt, Provincial, noted his joy when told of the award: "It is truly gratifying to receive this award honoring my Brothers and our Lasallian colleagues who carry out the mission of Catholic and Christian education of God's children. St. John Baptist de La Salle founded the Brothers to provide a Christian education for the poor and marginalized . For over 300 years, we have been attentive to this mission of the Church. The recognition of our accomplishments is a reflection of the many gifts and blessings from God which are received daily in Jesus Christ throught the Holy Spirit."
