Lasallian Volunteers gathered at La Salle Center, Noble Street, in Narragansett for the weekend of May 4-6. They were virtually the only people on the beach Saturday, all glorying in the Spring Sun, though shivering in the wind. Mary Broderick and Jennifer Mohan from the San Miguel community in Newburg NY brought Bro. Michael McLoughlin with them. Elisa Bresba, Shannon Matthiew, Erica Sage, and Sandra Sanchez from the Bedford Park community in The Bronx brought Brothers Bill Fecteau and Ed Phelan with them. (These are pictured above at CBC, down the road from Noble Street.)
Arriving locally for a Saturday night cookout were volunteers Beth Fineran and Casey Wilson, along with Bro. Michael Reis, from the St. Raphael community, as well as volunteers Megan Mosteller and Ashley Miller, along with Bro. Lawrence Goyette, from the San Miguel community.
Former volunteer, Heather Ruple, completed the Saturday night celebration of Cinco de Mayo. And Bro. John McMahon was the great host for the entire weekend.
For those who have not yet been to La Salle Center on Noble Street, the word from all who visit is that the house (with six bedrooms and lots of meeting space) seems to be worthy of a Better Homes and Garden magazine article. The grounds are also very nice. If you would like to visit, please contact Brother John at jemfsc@yahoo.com.
