In a spirit of welcome to young men who are interested in providing service to youth, St. Gabriel's school and community continues to invite young adults to work with students and to live in community in East Elmhurst.
Over the years (and currently), there have been such volunteers from Japan. Additionally, during the month of January, there have been two other volunteers, one from Baruch College and another from Fordham University, doing some tutoring in the school and living in community with Brothers Charles and Edward.
Mark Bautista, pictured above, will leave the community at the end of February for his Fordham semester abroad in Korea. We are grateful for the presence of all the young adults who share community and apostolate with us throughout the district.
