During the months of November and December, the Brothers of the LI-NE district conducted a nomination and election for the position of Visitor for the term to begin on July 1, 2007.
Bro. Edmond Precourt, current Visitor, was selected with a unanimous vote, both in nomination and election. On Wednesday, January 17, the General Council and Bro. Alvaro, Superior General reviewed the proposal from the Brothers of the LI-NE District. In a letter to Bro. Edmond, the Superior has written, "I am delighted to make the appointment. The enormous support that you had in the votes leaves no doubt whatsoever as to the correctness of the decision and certainly this will give you renewed confidence to continue in your leadership ministry."
LI-NE has had a long history of excellent Visitors. The Brothers and colleagues are blessed with this dynamic leader who will help bring us forth to an even brighter and responsive future.
